This commercial job was conducted for Jewson’s Builders Merchant on behalf of Apollo Facility Management. The total job consisted of two areas; a triangular section at the rear service yard approximately 300m2 and the entire front end customer parking area which was 800m2. Both areas needed planed out to a depth of 40mm.
The areas were then layered with K140 emulsion and overlaid with 40mm depth 10mm Stone Mastic Asphalt. The SMA was put down as cars and Heavy goods vehicles kept dry steering on the existing tarmac, and the wheels of the small forklifts were also digging in.
